Harpeth Capital Expands Services with Formation of Harpeth Fund Advisors

Harpeth Capital, LLC (“Harpeth Capital”) today announced that George Gaines and Angela Stanley have joined the newly-formed Harpeth Fund Advisors, a division of Harpeth Securities, LLC. Harpeth Fund Advisors is a boutique fund placement and advisory firm dedicated to raising institutional and high net worth capital for private equity and other private alternative investment funds.

Harpeth Fund Advisors will be directed by Mr. Gaines and Ms. Stanley, both highly-respected executives, bringing significant experience in advising a diverse range of private equity and alternative investment funds on structuring and placement. “With their depth of institutional fundraising experience and extensive relationships in the industry, we are extremely pleased to have George and Angela join Harpeth Capital,” said Chuck Byrge, CEO and President of Harpeth Capital. “We view this as a strategic addition to our overall platform and are excited about the prospects for Harpeth Fund Advisors.”

Prior to joining Harpeth Capital, Mr. Gaines founded Orrington Advisors, a boutique advisor to private equity funds. Previously, he was a senior partner at BerchWood Partners and Managing Director and Global Head of Distribution for the Private Equity Fund Group at Citigroup. Prior to Citigroup, Mr. Gaines was a Managing Director for two institutional advisory/management firms, Heitman Capital Management Corporation and JMB Institutional Realty Corporation. He began his career as an attorney specializing in U.S. securities, tax and corporate law. Mr. Gaines earned his B.A. in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley and holds a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.

Ms. Stanley spent eight years with BerchWood Partners, a global private equity placement firm with clients headquartered in the U.S., Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa. After five years in the New York office, she relocated to San Francisco to open and operate the firm’s west coast office where she focused on west coast and Asian investor coverage as well as managing fund engagements. Prior to BerchWood Partners, Ms. Stanley worked on the sales & trading desk for George K. Baum & Co. in Denver. Ms. Stanley holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
