Harpeth Capital Serves as Financial Advisor to Hurdl

Harpeth Capital, LLC is pleased to announce that it served as financial advisor to Hurdl, Inc. in connection with a strategic growth equity investment.  Earlier this year, the Company completed a $2.5 million growth financing in which Harpeth Ventures participated.  See press release here.

Hurdl was recently selected as one of six finalists in The Wall Street Journal’s WSJ D.Live technology conference.  See this link for a brief video shot by the WSJ – video.

Based in Nashville, Hurdl has created a pioneering direct-to-fan advertising channel and next-generation interactive live event experience.  Eighty percent of the nearly one billion people who attend live events annually are unknown to the artist, event organizer/manager, venue, etc., leaving an estimated $24 billion in potential marketing revenue on the table each year. Hurdl solves this problem by capturing a first-party data set on 60-80% of audiences.  Each attendee receives a low-cost LED wearable upon entry, aptly named the “PIXL.”  With a simple text-bot to activate, Hurdl’s patented platform translates messaging dialogue between fans and event organizers into segmented lighting cues (e.g., lighting up veterans, cancer survivors, Dallas Mavericks fans in the audience, etc.).  This one-to-one relationship can then be used after the event by artists, teams, casinos, venues, etc. to engage with their fans directly regarding promotional opportunities, informational content, upcoming events, etc. – all leading to additional revenue channels.

Earlier this year, Hurdl graduated from the Techstars Music accelerator program, having been chosen as one of 11 companies worldwide to participate.
