Harpeth Fund Advisors is a boutique fund placement and advisory firm dedicated to raising institutional and high net worth capital for private equity and other alternative investments funds. We offer a range of flexible services including preparing, structuring and placing funds, as well as assisting in document negotiation and closing support.

Since 1985, HFA principals have raised more than 40 funds aggregating capital in excess of $20 billion globally. Our experience spans a wide spectrum of alternative investment strategies and asset classes, including buyouts, growth equity, distressed and turnaround, mezzanine capital, infrastructure, real assets, real estate and venture capital.

In today’s increasingly competitive fundraising environment, alternative investment funds must be appropriately positioned to receive attention of institutional investors. HFA’s principals have spent their fundraising careers understanding the needs of and building relationships with a broad range of institutional investors including consultants, endowments, family offices, foundations, fund of funds, financial institutions, insurance companies, public and corporate pensions and sovereign wealth funds.

The HFA team has extensive experience in preparing marketing materials and creating customized fundraising campaigns in order to properly distinguish its clients from the competition. We will work with our clients throughout the fundraising process to achieve an efficient, well-balanced fund raise.

Our Services:

Pre-Launch

  • Detailed review and assessment of market opportunity, product, story, team and track record
  • Position offering to maximize investor appeal by carefully articulating investment highlights
  • Collaborative preparation and review of marketing materials, including PPM, presentation and one page teaser
  • Assist in organizing data room to streamline investor due diligence process including making reference calls
  • Develop road show blueprint and marketing timetable
  • Leverage key relationships to test key themes prior to launch

Fundraising

  • Identify and qualify focused list of investors, starting with larger investors
  • Distribute one page teaser or PPM to investors
  • Schedule meetings and coordinate road shows
  • Ensure clients are prepared for meetings with background on investors’ focus and process
  • Provide follow up information to investors and assist through their due diligence
  • Keep clients and investors updated with material developments

Closing

  • Assist in the negotiations of closing documents
  • Advise on issues related to allocations and terms
  • Finalize commitments and work with clients and investors to close each transaction as needed
