Harpeth Capital, LLC Adds Senior Advisor

dave swensonHarpeth Capital, LLC is pleased to announce that Dave Swenson has joined the firm as a Senior Advisor. With over 30 years’ experience in venture capital investing, Dave will assist the firm with its principal investing activities conducted via Harpeth Ventures.

“We continue to see interesting opportunities to team up with friends of the firm to invest through Harpeth Ventures,” says Chuck Byrge, CEO of Harpeth Capital. “Having someone with Dave’s experience in both investing and providing board assistance post investment is a great benefit to Harpeth.”

Harpeth Ventures’ investing activities typically focus on opportunities needing a few million dollars or less and often involving earlier stage, high growth companies.

Dave was a founding general partner with the private investment firm Coleman Swenson Booth Inc., which raised and managed four venture funds totaling $188 million and specialized in early stage healthcare companies. He has served as a guest lecturer at Harvard Graduate School of Business and the Owen Graduate School of Business, Vanderbilt University, as well as serving as guest speaker/moderator at several Nashville Healthcare Council Meetings.

Prior to founding Coleman Swenson Booth, Dave served as Treasurer and Investment Manager for Hospital Corporation of America (HCA). He also previously served as the Chief Financial Officer for HCA’s Center for Health Studies. Prior to HCA, Dave spent eight years serving his country in the United States Navy.

Dave has a MBA from the Owen Graduate School of Business and a BS from Austin Peay State University.
