Harpeth Capital was founded in 1999 with the primary goal of providing investment banking services to middle market companies, offering a level of experience and sophistication typically only available from larger Wall Street investment banking firms.
Today, the Firm relies on its senior professionals and an Advisory Board consisting of world class leaders from the business and civic community to bring an unparallelled combination of transaction experience, industry expertise and relationships for the benefit of our clients.
We take great pride in providing a comprehensive solution to companies in need of more than just a “one-off” transaction. We develop relationships with owners, management teams and boards of directors sometimes years in advance of a transaction and continue to offer support and guidance long after the deal is done.
In a business where many firms offer only a “one size fits all” cookie cutter approach to executing transactions, we invest the time to explore all alternatives that can potentially address a company’s needs and work with the owners and/or board of directors to select the optimal path for success.
As evidenced by the association of the individuals on our Advisory Board, we conduct our business with the highest level of integrity, honesty and professionalism.
What’s in a name – Harpeth Capital’s namesake comes from the Harpeth River – a 115 mile long stream that meanders through Middle Tennessee. The stream is an important landmark in the greater Nashville area and has been witness to a lot of history including the Battle of Franklin on November 30, 1864, which has the unfortunate distinction of being the bloodiest six hours of combat during the Civil War. The Harpeth River ultimately joins the Cumberland River which runs beside downtown Nashville.
